BREAKING NEWS: Police Boss General, Augustine Chihuri has surrendered to public pressure. In a sudden retreat, Zimbabwe’s most dreaded strongman on Monday passed emergency orders via a swift radio transmission(serial no. MMM 876/2016) ordering that all police officers countrywide must with immediate effect give in to the wishes and demands of the public and be careful not to agitate the angry masses.

The message continues,
“ANY DIVERSION FROM THE ABOVE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. THE PUBLIC WE ARE POLICING AT THE MOMENT IS VOLATILE AND ANY DIVERSION FROM THE PROPER POLICING METHODS WILL RESULT IN RIOTUS (sic) SITUATIONS”.
Meanwhile it emerged in several areas on Tuesday police officers have been warned to stay away and angry mobs will deal with them harshly if they disturb the nationwide stay away. Zimbabwean workers are protesting an array of abuses by the government. Some have said between Tuesday and Thursday the entire country’s industry must cease all and any operations. One pastor Evan Mawarire has said Zimbabwe must be shut down on Wednesday. Anyone found working or travelling to work will be beaten up and their vehicles torched,” people were ordered in Chinhoyi, Zvishavane, Harare and Bulawayo” a ZimEye source said.

The below was an unedited message from one cop who says the force is one with them in their economic sufferings: “I am a police officer myself. For the past two weeks my children were surviving from hand to mouth due to cash challenges in the country. A number of Human Rights groups are staging demos across the country and the police are descending heavily on them to quell violence. Most people hate the police thinking that they support ZANU PF. I would like to urge my fellow Zimbabweans not to direct violence to the police officers and soldiers. Gentlemen and ladies, we buy from the same shops and our sufferings are caused by the ZANU PF regime. Didn’t think of answering the obvious. The Ndebeles in Zanu are just puppets with no real authority. I am not worried about government funds being looted because we always miss out on distribution of government resources. In Kezi we last benefited from government developmental aid when president Smith was in power. I do believe that among st the hundreds or thousands in the police force there are descend people who feel for the masses. However, when one witnesses the brutality as shown by some police officers in Epworth yesterday, one’s heart really sinks. But I am sure its those urchins churned out by the Border Gezi Yourth Camps before being recruited into the police force. What we need to do it try and identify these individual cruel officers and if we can deal with them there and then, lets go after them individually. We cannot allow them to beat up people the way we witnessed yesterday, no. They have been at it for too long and its time we say no more. If this continues we should even go after their wives, kids and mothers.
