LATEST : Mahiya Bail Hearing Postponed

The bail hearing for the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association spokesperson, Douglas Mahiya, has been postponed to tomorrow.
The Court was earlier adjourned after his lawyer Harrison Nkomo exposed that the state does not have a certificate of prosecution signed by the Prosecutor General.
Police on Thursday 28 July 2016 charged Mahiya for allegedly undermining authority of or insulting President Robert Mugabe in contravention of Section 33 (2) (a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23, the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights reveal.
