Terrence Mawawa, Masvingo | President Robert Mugabe has hatched a plan to remove Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa from office at Zanu PF’s annual conference scheduled for December, ZimEye.com can reveal.
Mugabe has already moved to descend onto Mnangagwa’s stronghold area, ZimEye.com can reveal.
The party’s annual conference will be held in the troublesome Masvingo Province-most likely at the Great Zimbabwe monuments where Mugabe held his birthday bash earlier this year. The other proposed venue is Nehemiah Mutendi’s Mbungo Estate.
As the nonagenarian continues in his uncomfortable down-slide at the revolutionary party with war veterans pushing for Mnangagwa’s immediate ascendancy, party sources have revealed that the veteran leader has mooted a ploy to dethrone his deputy in December.
Party sources revealed to ZimEye.com at the weekend, the CIO would mobilise members of the Women’s League to push for gender balance in the presidium- in a move aimed at ousting the Midlands godfather.

There is likely to be fierce resistance from Mnangagwa’s sympathisers given the fact that he commands a huge following in Masvingo Province, analysts said.
Zanu PF Provincial chairman Amasa Nhenjana confirmed the annual event would be held in Masvingo.
“We have received a letter from the administration department confirming that we have been selected by the Politburo to host this year’s annual conference in December and we are already behind schedule,” said Nhenjana.

Right now Munangagwa is better off outside this madness. I would celebrate such a move if I was Him. I am sure his family wishes that he was left alone in peace in stead yekushandiswa and getting abused by power hungry morons. Let them take over the bankrupt economy tione vakaisimudza. Ngwena budai mumadhaka and retire in peace not in picies.
