United Front

Opposition political parties under siege from Mugabe’s tight grip on power, have been engaged in several secret initiatives that they hope would lead to a vibrant united front to push for political change. Mugabe has in recent weeks increased his grip on power with a relentless crackdown against pro democracy forces. Many have been arrested on trumped up charges, others like the #ThisFlag pastor Evan Mawarire forced to flee into exile.
While it still is not clear how the coalition will be structured, the move by Mujuru and Tsvangirai  and other opposition leaders seems to be a source of hope for Zimbabweans. Full audio recordings of both Mujuru and Tsvangirai’s addresses will be available on ZimEye in a few minutes.

  1. You are obsessed with Ndebele people my friend. I see nowhere Shona Harer has said anything about Ndebele ir King Shaka. I used to think its just people criticising us Shonas for nothing. But its really true we have a big problem psychologically. We really have been heavily indocrinated with Mugabe’s bad divisive tribal politics. We have this sub-concious reaction of attacking everyone as Ndebele, even if we dont know they are Ndebele. What if they are Tonga or even white; how do we know? What is it about Ndebele people that some us are so obsessed about? What exactly is wrong with us Shonas?

  2. Yes!! Because they are Shonas; they are the native owners of this land Zimbabwe. If you are not Shona very sorry. If you are Ndebele; the earlier you trace your roots back to Transvaal – KZN the better for you. All the descendnces of Shaka must take heed and go back to their roots. Because in a situation of 4 people; a white; a Ndebele & Shona. If there is 2 whites; one Ndebele and one Shona – thats RACISM. If there are 2 Ndebeles; one white & one shona – thats TRIBALISM. But if there are 2 shonas; one white and one ndebele thats purely INDIGENIZATION!!!! Shona Hater kana wasvotwa go and hang!!

  4. This is good news. Tsvangirai and Mujuru are the only two viable opposition parties. If these two come together the other small parties will have no choice but to join them. With a united opposition and a fractured zanu we might see the end of the tyrant in zimbanwe
