ZimEye is receiving the latest details from the investigation on how the horrific fire which gutted the Great Zimbabwe monument was started yesterday afternoon.
Well placed officials at the scene have fingered a council employee who they say threw some burning charcoal at three lodges. This instantly set the property aflame and the fire began spreading to the national treasure that is the Great Zimbabwe ruins while simultaneously gutting the workers’ houses.
