President Robert Mugabe’s Second Wife, Grace yesterday bunked former cabinet minister and legislator for Epworth constituency, Amos Midzi’s burial.
Midzi who died on Tuesday this week also had her husband’s government hand him an ordinary civilian burial which was at Glen Forest Cemetery in Harare Saturday afternoon.
Midzi was one of the few loyal ZANU PF officials who faithfully tirelessly followed through Mrs Mugabe during her meet the people rallies in the run up to the Mujuru purgings. PIC:

Hundreds of people thronged the cemetery to bid farewell to the late Midzi, a former cabinet minister, diplomat, Member of Parliament and provincial leader.
Relatives, friends and workmates described the late Midzi as a humble and loving figure who dedicated his life to the people of Zimbabwe.

The Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan province, Miriam Chikukwa the most senior official to attend the burial pleaded with delegates saying people should not take advantage of Midzi’s death to divide Zanu PF.
It was claimed through the State Media that Mugabe had “honoured Midzi” by conferring on him a state assisted funeral.
The government claims the late former Zanu PF Harare provincial chairman died of marked pulmonary oedema due to poisoning but loopholes in the investigation have pointed to a cover up for murder and the various substances seen at the site are said to be cheap elements concealing the crime.
This was revealed by results of a post mortem performed by three independent doctors as part of investigations into Midzi’s death.
He is survived by his wife Alice and three children.

  1. My condolences but victims of chipangano will never label Midzi a humble man, no I am sorry no. Yes I feel for the kids they lost a father but they should also remember because of him and his cabal, some kids also lost breadwinners.

  2. Why not just say the first lady,or Mugabes wife or simply Grace,we all know her, than to say second wife.
