The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation s chief correspondent Rueben Barwe’s wife, Ellen, has died.
Mrs Barwe died in Harare on Tuesday.
Mrs Barwe succumbed to kidney failure at Avenues Clinic and will be buried on Thursday at Warren Hills cemetery.
The ZBC staff led by board chairman Father Gibson Munyoro visited the Barwe residence in Belvedere to console the family.
ZBC acting chief executive officer Patrick Mavhura described the death of Mrs Barwe as a big blow to the Barwe family, the ZBC and nation at large, adding that the corporation will do its best to support Rueben in this time of grief.
The Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Dr Christopher Mushowe consoled Rueben Barwe and urged him to derive strength from God.
Family spokesperson Kudakwashe Mabutsu says the body of the late Mrs Barwe will lie in state at the family home in Belvedere and will be buried at Warren Hills cemetery this Thursday.
