Terrence Mawawa, Masvingo |Former liberation war fighters have described embattled Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa as Zimbabwe’s own Moses, adding the Midlands godfather is the only person suitable to replace Mugabe.
Speaking at an explosive meeting at Masvingo Polytechnic this week, the war veterans took turns to praise Mnangagwa while denigrating Grace Mugabe and her G-40 faction.
The visibly angry war veterans repeatedly chanted anti- G-40 slogans. As the Zanu PF factional battles continue, the former freedom fighters have continued to identify themselves with the feared Mnangagwa. Mnangagwa, viewed as Mugabe’s blue-eyed boy for a long time, has fallen out of favour with Mrs Mugabe who is also angling herself to replace Mugabe.
Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association Secretary General, Victor Matemadanda, said only Mnangagwa had the capacity to replace Mugabe when the nonagenarian leaves office. “Mnangagwa will never unseat Mugabe. He will patiently wait and mind you Mnangagwa is already one step in. Mnangagwa is not under any pressure because he is already in government and those who are outside are desperate,” said Matemadanda.
The war veterans said just as Moses led the Israelis out of Egypt, Mnangagwa will lead the people of Zimbabwe. Ironically the war veterans did not explain the significance of the comparison. The war veterans also vowed to deal with all elements working to reverse the gains of the liberation struggle in the ruling party.

Please let us just get one thing straight. No one in ZPF can be equated with anyone good in the bible. Moses is a type and shadow of Jesus our Saviour. These guys have destroyed only. Wake up for goodness sake. We desperately need to repent as a nation.
