Staff Reporter | The militant pro democracy group Tajamuka has lifted its middle finger at Statutory Instrument 101a of 2016, which bans demonstrations in Harare for two weeks, and will defy this. Below is a statement the group issued earlier on.
PRESS STATEMENT RUBBISHES STATUTORY INSTRUMENT 101a OF 2016
TAJAMUKA/SESJIKILE rubbishes Zanu-pf political statement called Statutory Instrument 101a of 2016. This is not a legal document and as such Tajamuka/Sesjikile Campaign will not listen or in any way attempt to confirm to that piece of shit. Zimbabweans cannot be servants of Jonathan Moyo politics; we had POSA and no more. The attempt by Jonathan Moyo to push himself close to ailing Robert Mugabe as a strategist through an extended POSA scheme like SI 101a of 2016 should never be allowed to kick-start. We are aware of the plans to ban constitutionally allowed demonstrations in perpetuity nationally and we refuse to have Harare as a laboratory of such a testing case. We will continue to be guided by Constitution Amendment 20 and will not waste our valuable time by instituting any legal challenge. Those boardroom solutions will continue to be the strategy of our SMART LAWYERS and other Civic Society Organizations.
We are informed the bankrupt government has no teargas (the tap water refilled at Harare City Council Fire Brigade and sprayed by water cannons on 26 August 2016 is evidence to this), there is no more money to fuel the tankers, and there is no willingness of progressive police officers to cooperate with their bosses on unlawful instructions whilst they have no pay or bonuses. This shit is an attempt to harass leadership of progressive political parties; CSOs, war veterans associations, progressive politicians in Zanu-pf, cross borders, Transport operators, and informal traders. This is an indirect DECLARATION OF A STATE OF EMERGENCY and further silence will end ALL OF US IN COLONIAL KEEPS.
We are reliably informed that the protesters who were arrested together with Promise Mkwananzi and those yet to be arrested are likely to be put under conditions of house arrest as a part of the REHABILITATION exercise that Minister Ignatius Chombo referred to in the past week. Our sources have further informed us that arrests are planned for leaders of social movements, popular campaigns, CSOs and opposition political parties to cripple Section 59 of Constitution Amendment 20.
TAJAMUKA/SESJIKILE CAMPAIGN will within two weeks challenge this cheap politics expressed through Statutory Instrument 101a of 2016 by holding a demonstration in Harare. This position is collectively shared by the broad composition of TAJAMUKA/SESJIKILE. WE therefore urge Zimbabweans to ignore and defy this satanic instrument spearheaded by a faction in Zanu-pf bend on building personal empires.
The ONLY STATUTORY INSTRUMENT that the generality of progressive Zimbabweans accepts in the immediate resignation of Robert Mugabe and the enactment of a National Transitional Authority that preside over Electoral Reform in the country.

Some Ndebeles are cowards we all know that .They run to South Africa at every opportunity they get thinking they are Zulus. When you meet them in SA they have the audecity to ask you why you come to SA.We Shonas have a higher IQ than the Ndebeles, everywhere we go we get the good jobs and your women because we work hard.Ndebeles are good at robbing people. You visit jails in SA ,Ndebeles are very popular there.Wake up Ndebeles you are still sleeping. You are not South Africans and very soon we will kick you out of Zim.The sooner you realise you are Zimbabweans the better.
Une dzungu and hauna. Unatimudza Zed yeunomwa iyi.
Truth hurts. You are suffering and you call that ruling. Fuck you!!
Dzviti bastard!
Kkkkkkikikikiki lol; rule Zimbabwe when you are being abducted; beaten up and killed. Lol. This is a funny way of ruling I must say. You Shona Gukurahundis are a really funny lot!!
Love or hate Shonas they are here to stay and will rule you and Zimbabwe till donkeys grow horns. They are not bothered by these cheap Ndebeles that waste time thinking like babies. That is why there is no development in your areas because you are concerned with trivial things. Only God will destroy Shonas not this stupid so called Shona hater. You bark and bark but we will never give you the chance to rule Zimbabwe because of your way of thinking.
Yes I agree. The “always Shona first and Ndebele second etc etc” is a Mugabe ZANU PF narrative. I too as a Shona, just dont understand why most Shonas agree with it!!
So, what you are saying is that Shona people have taken the stance they have taken in current Zim politics because they are serving their own interests; not necessarily that of everyone else?
But is this not the reason why there has been so many splits in the mass democratic opposition movement against the regime?
When some people feel they are merely being used, but will not benefit from the final outcomes – they will withdraw their support or alternatively start their own movements which they feel address their concerns, as is happening in Matebeleland with the confusion prevailing over whether to demand secession or to stay within the one unified state of Zimbabwe and fight for change within that context?
It is clear that the majority of people there dont want secession, as can be seen from their support of the MDC-T led by a Shona Tswangirayi, and not the MLO led by Paul Siwela, that is for secession – notwithstanding the fact that he is a Mthwakazi. Their problem is that they believe the majority Shonas are not listening to their plight – they believe they are selfish, but they still want to work with them.
They just want them to be different from ZANU PF and its Mugabe but it seems this is falling on deaf ears!
I am merely pointing out a fact. People vote for their self-interest in most significant cases rather than effective policy, especially so when the policy is broadly beneficial but not particularly beneficial to the individual.
I disagree, democracy itself is of course up to the people to decide. Whether the people decide upon the candidates who will effect the most effective policies is another matter. For instance, one candidate could propose that if he is elected everyone will receive a free Mercedes out of the state pocket. IS this feasible? Of course not, but people usually vote with self-interest at heart especially following hardship. Education can do wonders to enlighten the voter to the consequences of such voting practises. There problems and solutions are many.
I of course offer no real solution to this conundrum as it is a problem of mindset. Generally speaking there is a bridge between giving the people what they want as well as policy that is unpopular but effective. Democracy whilst an idealistic entity is utopian by nature but is the best system we can possess at present.
Do I think democracy should be revoked? No. But we must not fool ourselves into thinking it can solve all problems overnight.
Whoever you are; you are a fool for sure. You are trying to reason with these Shona fools – I say good luck. I can tell you now; the more understanding; the more reasonable; or the more rational you try, in engaging them, the more they run away and ignore your input; like they are doing to you now to you.
Check how many of them respond to my contributions? Because I have no time for sweet nothings with them. I dont give a shit about being reasonable or understanding with them. I am not in a popularity contest and I dont give a shiit whether they like me or not. Just tell them to fcuk off and you will see how many responses you get. You will see how many engage you. They will come in hundreds. Stop wasting your time trying to be good to these idiots – follow my example.
I HATE SHONAS WITH A PASSION AND I MAKE NO APOLOGIES FOR IT!!
That’s nonsensical. Democracy by its very nature is about accommodating everyone of its citizens – both culturally and politically. It is never simply a matter of bean counting majorities. It even gets worse when you emulate, copy and paste the same tactics and strategies of the very same enemy you are trying to eliminate.
South Africa is a good example of a country with a diverse population of many languages and cultures, who actually live their Constitution in practice; not just to sing about things on paper as happens in Zimbabwe. Anyone who has been to SA, lived in SA will notice that, despite their difficulties – to a large extent, virtually every community counts.
The ANC government has been very inclusive and even its opening prayers try by all means to include all religious communities. In Zim, they simply don’t care about anyone else, as long as the Shonas are taken care of!
I like the courage, After a careful, deep and analytical study of the current situation in the Zimbabwe Liberation Movement in particular and the Zimbabwe revolution in general, we as the people who have vowed to sacrifice our very lives for the liberation of our fatherland, wish to make our feelings and standpoint unequivocally clear to you in the interest of the liberation of Zimbabwe.
State of Emergency ? Not yet !
Every person who believes his/her constitutional human right of freedom of assembly and freedom to demonstrate peacefully is violated by the State, ZRP in particular, is legitimately entitled to report to: Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) http://www.zhrc.org.zw > E-mail: [email protected]
CONSIDER ACTION NOW, FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN´S FUTURE
The changes that need to be implemented are never the popular ones. Such is politics everywhere in the world. Everyone wants the new policies to be in their interest even if a partial favouring policies would be beneficial nationally.
Until we can get the most effective policies in place there will be ever more risk of disastrous state policy after policy.
Every person who believes his/her constitutional human rights of a) freedom of assembly, b) freedom to demonstrate, are violated by the State (ZRP) is legitimately entitled for report to Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) http://www.zhr.org.zw > E-mail: [email protected]
TAKE INDIVIDUAL ACTION FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN´s FUTURE
Go to hell with your Shona things. I hate Shonas!!!!!!!!!!!
Voetsek with your Gukurahundi. Voetsek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you expect to defeat Mugabe when you are following the very same packing order of Zim’s African languages that he started in 1980; notwithstanding the the provisions on equality of languages in the new constitution that you are selectively quoting to suit yourselves?
You have consistently used Tajamuka/Sejikile and in most cases allowing the ” Sesijikile” part to simply fall away. Even your marketing base ball caps dont have it. Tswangirayi and his MDC-T have also always done the same with their Chinja/Guquka?
Tell us; when will it be Sesijikile/Tajamuka? When will it also be Guquka/Chinja? or simply Sesijikile or Chinja or Setswana, Khalanga, Venda, Tonga, Nambya, Shangaan etc? We want to learn these languages; but how can we all learn them when you dont want to accommodate them in such national intiatives? Does something cease to be national if Shona is not used at all or at least not used as the first language in that order?
Its about time we stopped the use of Shona and even Ndebele in these national initiatives and started using Khalanga/Tonga/Venda for a change.
Look at you. Your conclusion is just Shona only – how different are you from Mugabe? You are so insensitive and yet you are crying for change. What change is that, that only suits you the Shona people? What about the rest of the population? Where is national unity in all this?
State of emergency is declared by the state president and at the present moment the so called president is incapacitated . This suprintendent of harare is just vomiting like marujata grace.

The Mgagao Declaration (Oct 1975)
The shortened version of the Mgagao Declaration below must be understood in the context that it was written by young military officers at the main ZANLA training camp in Tanzania at the height of the liberation struggle in 1975. The language is strong and the views are blatant and uninhibited. But the declaration laid the foundation of two important historical events. It laid the basis for the removal of Rev Ndabaningi Sithole as leader of ZANU. It also laid the foundation for the elevation of Robert Mugabe as the leader of ZANU at a special congress at Chimoio two years later in 1977.
WE hereby express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made by O.A.U Liberation Committee in the struggle to liberate Zimbabwe from the clutches of imperialism and fascism.
Without the support of the O.A.U Liberation Committee, the Tanzanian government and FRELIMO, the struggle to liberate Zimbabwe would not have developed to its present state.
We sincerely hope and are fully determined to reward these noble efforts by securing the liberation of Zimbabwe people so as to make our contribution to the African revolution.
In line with our sworn pledge to liberate Zimbabwe we hereby submit the following points for your consideration.
After a careful, deep and analytical study of the current situation in the Zimbabwe Liberation Movement in particular and the Zimbabwe revolution in general, we as the people who have vowed to sacrifice our very lives for the liberation of our fatherland, wish to make our feelings and standpoint unequivocally clear to you in the interest of the liberation of Zimbabwe.
1. We hereby state our unswerving and unequivocal commitment to the liberation of Zimbabwe through an arduous armed struggle.
Events and facts have clearly shown that any other course of action would be tantamount to an open betrayal of the Zimbabwean people.
We therefore strongly, unreservedly, categorically, and totally condemn any moves to continue talks with the Smith regime in whatever form.
We the freedom fighters will do the fighting and nobody under heaven has the power to deny us the right to die four our country.
We vowed to fight for our fatherland and the bloodshed in the struggle to liberate our fatherland is ours and strongly not anybody else’s.
1. We herby reaffirm our support for the Unity Accord signed on 7-12-74 by which the four organisations, ZANU, ZAPU, old ANC and FROLIZI were merged under the ANC.
We strongly register our support for national unity, but to us unity is not and end in itself, but means to an end.
Unity is not magic formula, but is one of the weapons in the struggle for liberation.
For Unity to be meaningful in Zimbabwe revolution; it should be based on an arduous and relentless armed struggle because any other course of action would make this same unit inimical to the Liberation of Zimbabwe.
We know of three forms of unity:
(a) Revolutionary
(b) Counter-Revolutionary Unity
(c) Reactionary Unity
Revolutionary Unity is for the purpose of promoting and accelerating the revolution.
In this strength of revolutionaries and we, as revolutionaries, stand for such unity.
Counter-Revolutionary Unity is for the purpose of arresting and setting brakes to the revolution.
It is a weapon in the service of reactionaries in their struggle and is aimed at stamping out flames of the people’s struggles.
This is the sort of unity advocated by Smith, Vorster and their allies.
We strongly condemn and will wage a relentless struggle against a form of unity.
Such Counter-Revolutionary Unity can be brought about by puppets and stooges of the reactionaries as a means of containing the revolution.
Reactionary Revolution Unity of the reactionaries themselves in the struggle for the perpetuation of their existence, their evil rule and the suppression of the broad masses of the people. We are totally opposed to it because it is a sworn enemy of the people.
In your efforts to strengthen the unity of the people of Zimbabwe, we strongly hope that you will take the three forms of unity into consideration and direct your efforts accordingly.
1. We wish to register our strong criticism over the way the ANC leadership has been exercising leadership over the revolution, these are namely:
(a) Bishop Abel Muzorewa
(b) Reverend Ndabaningi Sithole
(c) James Chikerema
These three have proved to be completely hopeless and ineffective as leaders of the Zimbabwe revolution.
Ever since the Unity Accord was signed on 7-12-74 these men have done nothing to promote the struggle for the liberation of Zimbabwe, but on the other hand, they have done everything to hamper the struggle through their power struggle.
They have no interest of the revolution or the people at heart, but only their personal interests.
They cherish an insatiable lust for power.
(a) They have failed to produce a most general line which can form a basis for all theoretical and practical activities of the party.
(b) They have failed to produce machinery capable of processing and effecting the armed struggle.
(c) They have failed to make the necessary arrangements for four trained freedom fighters to and reinforce our fellow freedom fighters at the front during this painful period, so as to lighten their burden.
(d) They have failed to make arrangements for the thousands of recruits in Mozambique to undergo military training.
(e) They have failed to take any practical steps to meet the problems of our comrades in Zambia and Mozambique.
(f) They have
