By Talent Gondo| The MDC Alliance President; Advocate Nelson Chamisa this weekend dates Seke Communal lands (Saturday) before he heads for Mubaira Growth Point in Mhondoro (Sunday).

Presidential Spokesperson and Director of Communications, Luke  Tamborinyoka said the MDC Alliance leader will be addressing a rally at Jonasi Primary School in Seke Communal lands, some 35 kilometres North of Harare.

“The party is prioritizing rural areas in this year’s campaign in an operation code-named Gogoi/ Tisvikewo/ Ekuhle,” said Tamborinyoka.

In an exclusive interview with a local publication, The Independent, Chamisa revealed that this year’s campaign is going to be an organic grassroots campaign.

“We are a national and people’s party with a ubiquitous presence and a nationwide footprint.

“We are there in the rural areas. Our campaign is intensively ruralised and I can assure you we are there in the villages, in the mining towns, at the growth points and those outlying areas,” he said.

Chamisa said his party  was engaging the very grassroots people within rural communities.

“I can assure you that our work is bearing fruit. We have massive traction in the rural areas, although we need to consolidate and hold our line,” said Chamisa.
