By Dorrothy Moyo| The 40 year old Zimdancehall disc jockey Godfatha Templeman, returns to court today.

Simbarashe Maphosa (real name) was arrested on kidnapping charges.

The charges come from an incident in which he (for a 3 day duration) allegedly held a 16 year old girl without her parent’s consent.

He has has been in remand prison since April 13 after he was denied bail by Harare magistrate Tilda Mazhanje.

The reasons for the denial were that he faces a third schedule charge.

The State alleges that between March 29 and 31, Templeman unlawfully detained the girl and deprived her freedom having traveled with the girl to Beitbridge.

Magistrate Mazhanje advised him to approach the High Court for bail after prosecutor Linda Gadzikwa successfully argued against releasing him.

The man co-hosts the Dancehall Remedy show on Star FM on Thursdays.
