By Paul Nyathi|Vice President Constantino Chiwenga on Tuesday opened up to the public on the circumstances surrounding his skin dismissing as false claims on social media that he was using skin lightening creams.

The Acting President said the sickness which also affects his wife Mrs Mary Chiwenga attacked him when Operation Restore Legacy which removed former President Robert Mugabe was launched last year.

Chiwenga made the disclosure at the burial for his late sister Margaret Machekabuwe at Machekabuwe farm today.

He said the illness caused the lightening of his skin, prompting some sections of the media to speculate that he was applying skin lightening creams.
