In an incident that yet again exposed the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission ineptitude a Chinhoyi man got the shock of a lifetime when he was told he had died long back as he sought to verify his registration details.

According to a statement released by MDC T Mutoko East District yesterday the ZEC verification process was fraught with irregularities.

“Trust ZEC at your own peril.
In Chinhoyi Emmanel Chitando was told he had died after registering to vote.

When he went for the voter inspection process he
was told he had died soon after registering to vote.
Where did ZEC get such information?” read the statement.
