“Karenyi Using Violence To Win Primaries”

Mildred Sotaimunhu, made a raft of allegations against the aspiring legislator accusing her of hiring thugs to disrupt the primary elections held on Africa Day in the constituency.

Lynette Karenyi Used Violence in a bid to win Chikanga Dangamvura Constituency Primaries.
*Chikanga Dangamvura residents were left in shock while others were left nursing their wounds after they were butchered and terrorised by terrorists who were send by an Aspiring candidate Lynnet Karenyi on the 25th May 2018.*
These terrorists were in different groups. The most radical group was led by Raphel Mutandi, who is the young brother to the District Organising Secretary and driver to Tatenda Nhamarare, Kingston Mutandi.
The other group was led by Tendai Mudzipurwa. He was with a UD truck which belongs to Davison Maradza of Hobhouse. Tendai Mudzipurwa is the loosing candidate for ward 17.
The hullabaloo started in ward 13 where the team which was led by Sekai Mukodza of ward 16 stormed the polling station and grabbed the ballot papers.
Joyce Makonya’s son Shingirai took the ballot papers from the National leader Kagodora and threw them all over the place. Sekai Mukodza gathered the ballot papers and Shingirai burnt them. Tobias Mukodza , Sekai’s brother and Makonya’s other son were shouting at the presiding officer.
Kind Karenyi also came to the polling station driving his sister ‘s BT 50 truck carrying people who were singing anti- Mutseyami songs.
On Thursday, there was a meeting at Sekai Mukodza’s homestead where they planned to disrupt the election in ward 13. Kingston Mutandi was the chief organiser of the plan.
Ward 19 Primary was disrupted by a group which was led by Tendai Mudzipurwa. They were about 25 in a UD truck.
The same UD went to ward 18 and dropped people. These people joined the queue with the intentions of provoking people but people remained silence. After some few minutes the radical team who were in a white twin cab and a single cab which were left parked at Mukwena Shopping centre came and grabbed the ballot papers.
One of these vehicles was driven by Obey Karenyi while the other was driven by Kind Karenyi. Joyce Makonya’s last born son was also there with another pick up which had thugs. This team together with people who were dropped by the UD truck started beating up people.
Many people were left nursing their wounds. The leader of the terrorists is Raphael Mutandi who is the young brother to the District Organising Secretary and driver to Tatenda Nhamarare.
In ward 9, Hon Teti Banda claimed that the sitting councillor Dube was disqualified, therefore he can not contest. She also also said the constituency belongs to a woman.
In ward 6, Shakespeare, Chirangano ward chair, Oliver Mugodhi organizing sec, Spiwe Terere,Stephen Mutukumira, Raphael Mutandi and his group forcefully took the ballot boxes and dispersed people.
In ward 8, Tatenda Nhambarare hired Taurai Gumedhe and his team who came and declared that the ward belongs to Tatenda. Taurai and team had matchets. Nhamarare addressed people saying that the ward was declared for youths by President Nelson Chamisa. Kingstone Mutandi was also there with a silver city council vehicle.
Before the election day, Tatenda Nhamarare called Raphel Mutandi at civic centre and gave him money.
In ward 7, where the National Secretary General of Youth Assembly was Presiding, the process was disrupted by a team led by Harriet Mudzipurwa who is from ward 2 in Sakubva. Another candidate was overheard calling Hon Karenyi telling her that people are now voting and the team must come immediately to disrupt the process.
Meanwhile, Chikanga Dangamvura Constituency Primary election will be held on Saturday this week.
