ZimEye.com has begun investigating the activities of a UK based funeral scheme running by the name Madzimai Akatendeka. This series of articles and programs are set to run for the next few weeks.

While the organisation has been praised by some in the Zimbabwean community, the Board Of Directors have been spotted on various occasions living a lavish lifestyle that has raised eyebrows.

All this also comes after the board leadership made fraudulent claims that the organisation is registered and regulated by the British Financial Conduct Authority.

Evidence at hand points that Madzimai Akatendeka is not at all FCA registered, let alone regulated by the FCA.

Contacted by ZimEye.com, the founding Director Fungai Maruta was asked- you claimed that you are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, are you truly registered with the FCA?

“Yes we are registered with the FCA,” she said.

When told that the FCA has revealed the organisation is not at all registered, she responded saying,”I don’t want to answer you now but you will see me in court if you want to find out that we are registered with the FCA.”
