Former radio and television presenter Ezra Tshisa Sibanda has defended popular artist Sandra Ndebele who is being besieged by political observers for openly showing allegiance to Zanu PF.
“Haters and loosers hands off my sister Sandra
Ndebele!
You don’t pay her bills neither do you
attend her shows. Sandra is a musician, she has a
right to perform anytime, anywhere.
Attacks by social media keyboard warriors who don’t
even buy her music mean nothing to Sandra who is
working hard for her own future.
She has to earn a
living and she would be a fool to turn down money
just to please irrelevant people to her life,” wrote Sibanda on Facebook.
“So many
artists have performed at Zanu PF or state
gatherings- including Jah Prayzah, Tuku and others
but haters are lambasting Sandra because she is an
easy target.
The most disappointing thing is that she
is being attacked by people from her own region.
These are the same people who
are good at denigrating our artists,” added Sibanda.
