Warriors skipper Ovidy Karuru has been ruled out of the remainder of the COSAFA Cup in South Africa because of an ankle injury.

Karuru was at the receiving end of a nasty tackle in Zimbabwe’s quarterfinal match against Botswana. The Warriors progressed to the semi final stage following a 3-1 victory on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

A member of the Warriors squad at the 2017 Tournament- which Zimbabwe lifted, the 29-year-old was expected to play an attacking role for Chidzambwa’s team in the COSAFA Cup and AFCON qualifiers.
