Ruling party Zanu PF honchos who have been sitting on their laurels have realised that they have a daunting task to accomplish before the July 30 elections.

The ruling party has deployed former freedom fighters to different parts of the country in a desperate bid to drum up support for President Emmerson Mnangagwa, House of Assembly and local government candidates before the elections.

Impeccable sources in the ruling party told ZimEye.com on Friday war veterans were instructed to campaign rigorously for the ruling party in all the 26 constituencies in Masvingo
Province.

“War veterans are moving around the province campaigning peacefully. Like all the citizens of this country, war veterans also have the right to participate in national processes,” Zanu PF sources said.
