By Own Correspondent| A Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) employee from Zinyanga village under Chief Seke Malvern Warira and his family are living in fear following the stoning of his house by unknown assailants every night since Friday last week.

Narrating his ordeal to the national broadcaster, Malvern Warirai said he believed the attacks targeting him were influenced by last week’s events where soldiers opened fire at civilians killing 6 people following protests over the release of presidential election results.

He said while no major damages had been recorded to date, he worried for the safity of his family.

Warirai said he suspects that the attacks are politically motivated and bent on seeking revenge against members of the security forces following the violent disturbances that happened last week in Harare and resulted in the death of 6 people and injury of 14 others.

Said Warirai:

“The events of the last four days have left my family dumbfounded and in great fear.

I don’t know what action these people will be taking next, so I am considering to relocate my family up to a time their security can be guaranteed.”

Warirai has since reported the attacks to the police and the case is under investigation.zbc
