Terrence Mawawa| Officials at Masvingo City Council have apologised to local residents for the current water crisis in the ancient city.

Engineer Tawanda Gozo yesterday said the local authority was making frantic efforts to repair the grounded water pumps.

“We are making frantic efforts to repair the grounded water pipes.At the moment only one main pump is functioning properly as such water supplies are relatively low,” said Engineer Gozo.

Outgoing town clerk Adolf Gusha also assured local residents that the local authority had set up measures to avert disastrous consequences.
