Police Ban Public Gatherings To Contain Cholera Outbreak

Jane Mlambo| Zimbabwe Republic Police has announced a ban on all public gatherings, a move they said is meant to contain the cholera outbreak currently ravaging Harare.

In a statement released this afternoon, Police Spokesperson, Charity Charamba said;

“The government has declared the cholera outbreak a state of emergence meaning that it is also a threat to human security.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police wishes to inform members of the public that in light of the declaration of the state of emergency, the police in Harare will not allow any public gathering

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing to members of the public to take heed of this warning and cooperate as this will assist in alleviating the continuous spread of cholera.
