Terrence Mawawa|Zanu PF official and former Home Affairs Ministered Obert Mpofu has drawn the ire of the people of Zimbabwe after claiming the opposition planted snipers to shoot Harare protesters in a “calculated gimmick meant to put the blame on the government. ”

Mpofu who appeared before the Commission of Inquiry into the August 1 shootings yesterday sensationally claimed the MDC A planted snipers who shot and killed the protesters.

“Snipers were planted in Harare to shoot protesters so that
the Zimbabwe government would be portrayed in bad light,” claimed Mpofu.

A total of 183 Facebook users rubbished Mpofu’s remarks saying even an Early Childhood Development pupil would not believe such ” balderdash.”
