MDC president Nelson Chamisa has pleaded with the ruling party ZANU PF to come to the negotiating table in order to come up with a way
forward to deal with the current economic problems facing the country.
ZANU PF has however scoffed at such calls claiming that it won a two-thirds majority in parliament and therefore there is no need for
talks. President Mnangagwa is on record saying that whoever is dreams of the formation of a
Government of National Unity should wake up from his or nightmare.
While addressing journalists at a ground-breaking ceremony for a primary school in Kuwadzana on
Wednesday, Chamisa said “We are not doing this for the love of
power, but we are being pushed by the power of love.”

“What we are going through as a
country is nothing if we are to have
dialogue as a people, and I hope our
colleagues in Zanu PF would find
wisdom in this issue. We have stated
five things which we believe should be the cornerstone for dialogue,” said Chamisa.state media
