By Own Correspondent| In their 8 O’ clock news bulletin Monday, the state broadcaster ZBC said the MDC Alliance was behind today’s protest which saw citizens destroying property nationally.

The national broadcaster said today’s national shutdown was orchestrated by civil society organisations and opposition MDC revealing that the security sector was in full force to arrest perpetrators of today’s violence and looting.

The ZBC  said the violence which occured today was carefully planned and the MDC was behind this adding that the MDC national secretary Lovemore Chinoputsa is on record calling on all youths to join the national shutdown.-State media
