Farai Dziva|Deputy Media, Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Energy Mutodi has said Emmerson Mnangagwa has done a lot of things to preserve Robert Mugabe’s legacy.
Writing on twitter today Mutodi argued Mnangagwa has done justice to the legacy of the veteran leader.
Mutodi was responding to questions raised on the failure by government and the ruling party Zanu PF to celebrate the nonagenarian’s birthday.
“Today we got a fantastic holiday, Robert Mugabe Day. We got an airport named after him as well in addition to roads and schools.
Many thanks to President ED Mnangagwa for doing justice to the legacy of the former President,” said Mutodi.
Presidential spokesperson George Charamba said that he was not aware of any government plans to celebrate Mugabe’s birthday, while ZANU PF spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo said that he was not sure if the party’s youth league had planned something.
