Farai Dziva|Former MDC legislator Jeffryson Chitando has castigated Zanu PF functionaries for venting their pent up frustrations on Richard Tsvangirai.

Commenting on an article about a Zanu PF sympathiser who claimed Richard Tsvangirai was feeling the impact of sanctions after being blocked from opening a bank account in China, Chitando took a swipe at what he described as desperate attempts to embarrass Richard Tsvangirai.

Richard Tsvangirai tried to open a bank account with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) and he could not do so be he was told his country was an unsafe zone.

A ZANU PF Twitter user said :”Welcome to sanctions Richard Tsvangirayi, when we say sanctions affect everyone we mean that.”

Chitando said: “This is typical Zanu PF idiocy- ruling party honchos must leave Richard Tsvangirai alone, what has he done?”
