By Takavafira Zhou| Mberengwa Communal Share Ownership Trust is getting $1 million every year from Mimosa but nothing has been ploughed back for communal development over the past years. The money has been going down the drains abused by Mberengwa DA and traditional leaders. The trustees’ identity is unknown and priorities have been very defective. Impeccable sources point to the effect that Trustees decided to build a fancy office block at Mberengwa which is not even complete in spite of receiving millions of Share Owbership Trusts for some years. One wonders whether office space is a priority to the community of Mberengwa.

What is worrisome is none of the four MPs in Mberengwa seem to care about the abuse of such funds by the DA and his entourage. It is such poverty of leadership, corruption and warped priorities that have kept Mberengwa poverty stricken and underdeveloped. Such development of underdevelopment can only be eradicated by visionary leadership that summons the collective wisdom of the people of Mberengwa for development. Unless and until the people of Mberengwa realise that development knows no political party but calls for harnessing of both natural and human resources for progress, it will remain locked behind the bars of poverty, backwardness and anguish
