“Exert Pressure On Ramaphosa To Stop Xenophobia”

Farai Dziva|The Government of Zimbabwe should exert pressure on South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to stop xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals.

On the contrary Deputy Information Minister, Energy Mutodi has said the Harare authorities believe Ramaphosa’ s government will bring the perpetrators of xenophobic attacks to book.Mutodi has chosen to be diplomatic in addressing the matter.

“We have noted some gruesome acts of violence perpetrated by South African youths against Zimbabweans & other foreign African nationals living in South Africa.

We hope the law will take its course on those criminals. We have confidence in the gvt of President Cyril Ramaphosa,” said Mutodi.

Several Zimbabweans have been killed in xenophobic attacks in the Republic of South Africa while hundreds have been injured and displaced.
