
By Tapiwa Nduna| Vice President Constantino Guvheya Chiwenga who has been conspicuously absent from state events due to ill health is set to make his first public appearance tomorrow.
The former army boss, who deputised President Emmerson Mnangagwa following his controversial election in 2018 was reportedly confirmed sick by presidential Spokesperson George Charamba who revealed that he will resume duties “as soon as he gets better”.
ZimEye exclusively reported that Chiwenga was not well and was confined to his Harare home for several weeks before he was flown out of the country for medical attention.
He was however flown back into the country last week.
Chiwenga is set to grace a clean up campaign, a monthly event held on the first Friday of each month.
The day, declared by Mnangagwa as a way of promoting a culture of cleanliness will see Chiwenga being the guest of honour in cleaning government offices at Kaguvi, Mkwati and Chaminuka complexes.
