By A Correspondent- Commissioner General of Police Godwin Ntandabantu Matanga has reassigned the deputy commissioner generals of police with effect from November 1, 2019.

Deputy Commissioner General Stephen Mutamba has been moved from crime to operations, DCG Mind Elliot Ngirandi from Human Resources to Crime, DCG Leny Ncube from operations to administration and DCG Lorraine Chipato from administration to human resources.

National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said:

“The transfers have been effected in order to maximise the utilisation of relevant skills and mentoring of senior officers in the Zimbabwe Republic Police with a view of improving performance with regards to the ZRP constitutional mandate of preventing, detecting and investigating crime. ”
