President Emmerson Mnangagwa wants to be succeeded by a fairly young leader compared to those that have ruled the country before , a senior government official has said.

Ndavaningi Nick Mangwana the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information Publicity and Broadcasting Services said, “President Mnangagwa believes that the next President and leadership of Zimbabwe should be a younger in age compared to the leadership the country has had so far.”

“President Mnangagwa believes that the next President & leadership of Zim should be a younger in age compared to the leadership the country has had so far. It is with this in mind that he has taken the bold step of infusing young leadership in Govt as deputies to learn the ropes,” said Mangwana.
