No Mnangagwa But Only His Portrait Welcomes Chiwenga At Harare Airport

Chiwenga’s elder brother Onisimo and Son Tawanda emotionally welcome him at the airport.

Paul Nyathi|Latest reports by State Run media, Zimpapers, indicate that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga who has been out of the country receiving medical attention in China is finally back in the country.

The media showed pictures of a fit as fiddle Chiwenga arrive at the airport named after former President Robert Mugabe who he removed in a military coup in 2017.

Chiwenga was conspicuously received in the country by China’s Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Zhao Baogang. There was no President Emmerson Mnangagwa to receive his Deputy but the former General was pictured sitting on a couch at the airport above him with the portrait of a smiling President Mnangagwa.

Chiwenga’s being welcome into the country by China’s ambassador with no Mnangagwa nearly confirms rumours that the Chinese are planning to execute a coup on Mnangagwa and replace him with Chiwenga.

Also at the airport to welcome Chiwenga was his elder brother Onisimo and Son Tawanda.

No official communication on Chiwenga’s return has been made by government.
