By Own Correspondent| The general who removed Robert Mugabe, Constantino Chiwenga, arrived in Harare early Saturday morning and was immediately snubbed by his own party ZANU PF seniors at the RGM airport.
No one from the presidium welcomed him and not even a single person from the cabinet was present. His boss Emmerson Mnangagwa was nowhere near the airport and he was only greeted by the latter’s portrait.
The only person to greet him was the local deputy Chinese Ambassador.
Some Zimbabweans joining into the ZimEye program on Saturday said they wonder if Chiwenga was ever sick while in China where he stayed for more than 2 months at a hospital in Beijing. This belief was reinforced by the fact that Chiwenga has returned on the anniversary of the day he installed his boss, Mnangagwa as President 2 years ago. What was the Chinese ambassador doing at the airport? Does Chiwenga enjoy special support from the Chinese which Mnangagwa doesn’t?
