By A Correspondent| Hopes of MDC President Nelson Chamisa joining Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Polad club were dashed early this morning when a senior MDC official said the MDC remains resolute.
Speaking during an early morning discussion on Tuesday (with analyst Wilbert Mukori, the MDC North America Chairman, Chief Svosve (Tawanda Dzvokora), said the MDC has not moved away from its position in July 2018.
Chief Svosve said: “… as MDC we are still where we were on July 30, 2018 that the elections were rigged.
“And this election was rigged twice at the same time, we were rigged by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, and the election was rigged by the constitutional court; and we haven’t moved away from that.
“And we are still pursuing this issue and of course following a political agenda and like I said if there is a possibility any hope that this case can be opened with the new evidence that was talked about by president Chamisa and the new evidence that was brought about by the publication of Jonathan Moyo’s book and also what happened in Malawi today; if there is any hope that lawyers legal experts, legal minds, can sit down and try to see if there is that possibility, I’m sure it will be welcome.
“But as a party we haven’t lost hope, we will continue to follow every channel and other means to ensure that what happened in 2018 does not happen again.”
