Gun-Selling Woman Arrested in Harare

Details of the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Harare have arrested a woman who was trying to sell a CZ pistol type of gun. She was working with two men who are her co-suspects. 

Reporting on the matter the Zimbabwe Republic Police said, “Two men and a woman were arrested in Hre after being found in possession of a CZ pistol which they were trying to sell. The trio could not satisfactorily explain how they got the firearm. Investigations to establish the origins of the firearm are underway.”

Police have urged owners of firearms to secure their weapons always. 

“Firearm owners are urged to ensure that their firearms are secure at all times to avoid situations where they may fall into wrong hands and used to commit serious offences.”

In an unrelated incident ZRP reported that it has intensified operations targeting criminal elements who harass the travelling public, forcing people to board private/public transport and in some cases stealing from them. 

“Hundred  touts have been arrested at various termini in Harare and other areas like Roadport along Robert Mugabe road, along Cameroon St in the CBD and Samora Machel near Harare Show ground. With the recent increase in fines by the Judiciary, those who continue to commit crime will do so at their own peril.” ZRP said in a satrement.
