By Jane Mlambo| Hotel giant, African Sun has announced that it is reopening four of its business units with effect from Monday on a phased approach.
The hotels have been closed since 30 March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
African Sun said it will re-open Holiday Inn Harare, Holiday Inn Bulawayo, Holiday Inn Mutare and Great Zimbabwe Hotel under its phase one.
The four units, according to African Sun will be disinfected and sanitized and conduct regular temperature checks of all staff and guests at entry points on top of contactless check in and check out protocols.
“Staff members will wear face masks at all times, guests accessible hand sanitizer at entrance and high traffic areas, extra disinfection of high touch areas in guest rooms including light switches and door handles,” reads the notice to clients.

African Sun added that gyms and swimming pools at its hotels will remain closed while social distancing of upto two meters will be observed and maintained.
