Dear Senator Mwonzora,

Word has it out there, supported by recordings from the allegedly failed MDC-T Council meeting, that, only 28 genuine members out of the required quorum of 184 delegates attended your Council meeting, which makes it illegitimate. It is also reported that Patson Murimoga who was not part of the 2014 structures attended the meeting.

It is alleged that the 28 genuine people from the 2014 structures who participated include Paul Gorekore Harare, Pinel Denga Mashonaland East, one Damba Chitungwiza, one Pugeni, Gift Chimanikire, James Makore,Yvonne Musarurwa, Bernard Chiondegwa, Engineer Elias Mudzuri, Dr. Thokozani Khupe, Senator Morgan Komichi, Cllr Zumba of ward 38 and yourself.

It is reported that you were forced to produce minutes with a full compliment of names that will constitute a quorum.

It is also alleged that there are many members of the 2014 council who did not get an invitation, which makes the meeting invalid. If Elias Mashavire was courageous enough to institute court proceedings because he was not provided the opportunity to exercise his constitutional rights, the planned Congress will meet with the same first if you left out a single member from your invitations, including those in the Diaspora where there were provincial structures as this was a social media meeting.

The Extra-Ordinary Congress, given that it has become a national issue following a Court decision, is of public interest requiring transparency, and the entire process must be documentated, with a full list of the invitations sent out, and the names of those who attended, which will have to be checked against the list of people who are required to attend each meeting.
