The MDC Alliance Assembly of Women is greatly perplexed by the further recall of nine MPs from Parliament on the 23rd of June 2020.

Among the recalled are our Acting Chair Hon Mucharairwa Mugidho, Hon Basilia Majaya our Treasurer General and Hon Virginia Muradzikwa our Organising Secretary.

We salute their bravery, resolute and steadfast for shunning the Khupe faction.

They did not think of their stomachs but decided to put the
revolution first. We stand with them and all other MPs and nothing is going to stop a moving train.

We would like to thank the MPs for standing firm with our President Advocate Nelson Chamisa whom most day dreamers think is finished. They might be troubled but are not destroyed as all this madness shall come to pass.

We still maintain our stance that MDC A contested in the 2018 elections with Khupe and won resoundingly, so we are not moved. We are not MDC T and we have our freedom of association. Noone can be force us to be what we are not. We are very clear and we shall remain so until we bring real change to the toiling masses. Basic commodities are still beyond the reach of many, the bond note continues to be useless, the innocent continue to be incarcerated, and women bear the brunt of all these eventualities.

We will continue to fight for our liberation and that of the toiling masses. “Nobody can stop an idea whose time has come” – Chamisa (2018).
