By Jane Mlambo| Police have summoned Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) President Obert Masaraure to Harare Law and Order Section over yet to known reasons.

Masaraure has led a number of protests demanding USD salaries for teachers and has recently been outspoken in his strong opposition against government decision to continue with June examinations despite the COVID-19 threat.

Posting on Facebook, an unmoved Masaraure said he will be going there on Friday in the company of his lawyer.

“I have been invited to Harare Law and Order Section. I will be going there in the company of my lawyer on Friday 26 June at 0800hrs. Our Police officers deserve a real salary. United States Dollar Salaries now,” said Masaraure.
