By A Correspondent- Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights’ Jeremiah Mutongi Bamu has revealed that they have been denied access to their client, jailed opposition stalwart and Zengeza West legislator Job Sikhala at Chikurubi maximum prison.

Sikhala, who was denied bail Friday at Harare magistrates court is currently jailed at Chikurubi maximum prison after his lawyers filed a High Court appeal for his release on bail.

Said Bamu:

“Having been made to wait for more than 1hr at Chikurubi Maximum, Supt Kore of ZPCS denies us access to see Job Sikhala. He says it’s no longer visiting hour despite visiting hour being prescribed as 9am to 3pm.”
