Public Interviews of Candidates for Appointment as Judges of the Constitutional Court:

Monday 28th September at Meikles Hotel

The public interviews of the following candidates for appointment will take place on Monday 28th September in the Stewart Room at Meikles Hotel, Harare.

The proceedings open to members of the public will start with a brief address by the Chief Justice, Hon Luke Malaba, at 8.20 am, followed by the individual interviews of the candidates in accordance with the following programme:

Five Vacancies on Court Need to be Filled

There are five vacancies on the Constitutional Court to be filled.  The vacancies arose by operation of law on 22nd May 2020, when the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court separated at the end of the transitional arrangements provided for in the Constitution.  The vacancies are temporarily filled by five Acting Judges of the Constitutional Court, all of whom are on the above list of candidates for substantive appointments.  This background is fully explained in Court Watch 10/2020 [linkand Court Watch 11/2020 [link
