Nigerian Musician In London To Campaign For Sanctions

By A Correspondent- Popular Nigerian musician, Burna Boy has revealed that he is in London where he is campaigning that sanctions be imposed against Nigerian government officials.

This comes amid a crippling end SARS protest in Nigeria that started on 8 October after a video of a member of a Nigerian police special force branded Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) shooting a civilian went viral on social media.

Protests broke out in Nigeria and they have worsened in the last few days which prompted the West Africa nation to impose a 24-hour long curfew on Lagos. Reports of police officers’ open firing on protestors have also circulated.

Amid all this, the country’s popular and vocal talent has said he is in London and he is advocating for sanctions to be imposed on Nigerian government officials.

I am in London and Im doing my best to make sure sanctions are imposed against Nigerian Government Officials. I need all citizens of all European countries ,America , Asia EVERYWHERE to please Do the Same. THEY MUST ALL PAY!!

Burna Boy became popular with Zimbabweans after he showed solidarity with Zimbabweans during the Zimbabwean lives matter movement that was protesting human rights abuses in Zimbabwe. So popular was Burna Boy’s tweet in Zimbabwe that some  Twimbos refused to vote for Jah Prayzah in the AEAUSA and vowed to vote for Burna Boy.
