By Douglas Mwonzora| Last night at around 11:30 pm the MDC Alliance youths broke into the regalia shop at the Morgan Tsvangirai House. They tried to gain entry into the main building but were thwarted by our alert internal security personnel.

Police were then called in and 8 of the intruders were arrested. A few days ago these people were ordered to leave our building by the Magistrates Court sitting in Harare. We then took possession of our building.

It is surprising that these youths are being sent to violate a clear order of the court. We have instructed our youths not to fight with these people but to call the police in order to minimize personal injury that will come from fighting.

The MDC Alliance Party has now resorted to sacrificing the youths by inciting them to engage in acts of anarchy and lawlessness.

They take advantage of the poverty of these youths and pay them ridiculously low sums of money and cheap liquor to engage in violence. These youths are drawn from Mbare and similarly poor neighborhoods were poverty is rife.

This is wrong and evil. We appeal to the youths to desist from being abused like this. We have also taken a stance that we are not going to yield to lawlessness and anarchy and we will defend our property using lawful means.

We are happy that our party security have displayed remarkable restraint in the face of gross provocations and abuse. Only a week ago two members of the Security Department were hospitalized after being assaulted by these youths on the orders of the criminal and anarchist elements.

The grand objective of these criminals is to disturb our Congress. However they will not succeed. Together we will win. Victory is Certain.
