Update from the Madzokere and Maengahama Solidarity Movement

Appeal for Your Support for the Next Chikurubi Prison Visit.

Greetings to you all.

We are so happy to let you know that on Sunday afternoon, some representatives for our solidarity movement had a successful consultation meeting with the close members from both the Madzokere and Maengahama families.

The consultation meeting agreed to have the next solidarity visit to the Chikurubi maximum prison on Wednesday 16th December 2020.

The consultation meeting also agreed to have regular monthly prison visits supported by our solidarity movement

As such for 2021, the first solidarity visit will be held during the last week of January.

In the meantime the following resolutions were adopted during the consultation meeting that was held on Sunday afternoon:

1. The Madzokere family will be represented by his sister Ollin Madzokere during this coming week’s prison visit.
2. The Maengahama family will be represented by his sister Febbie Maengahama during this coming week’s prison visit.
3. Ollin Madzokere has been designated as the Spokesperson for the Madzokere family.

4. Georgina Maengahama has been designated as the Spokesperson for the Maengahama family.

5. Donations in both cash and kind are encouraged from both the public and the solidarity movement members as from Sunday till Wednesday morning just in time for the Chikurubi prison visit.
6. Both the Madzokere and Maengahama families have authorised Daniel Molokele to coordinate the donations from both the public and solidarity movement.
7. The ecocash number to use for donations is 078 298 7718.
