Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance deputy chairperson and Zengeza West MP, Hon Job Sikhala has said the so called Patriotic Bill is meant to close all democratic avenues.

Hon Sikhala questioned the logic behind the introduction of the bill at a time the nation is battling to contain the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

Hon Sikhala Sikhala believes the introduction of the bill is a case of misguided priorities.

“The motion pushing for the immediate introduction of the so called Patriotic Bill being discussed in Parliament today shows how misguided we are as a people in terms of our priorities.

The county is burning you spend time pushing the law criminalizing meeting anyone from USA or EU,” argued Hon Sikhala.
