Tinashe Sambiri|Veteran MDC Alliance activist Forget Hlomani was laid to rest in Chipinge on Tuesday.

The MDC Alliance described Hlomani as a dedicated freedom fighter.

” Leader Cde Forget Hlomani was laid to rest today (Tuesday) in Mabee Village, Ward 28 of Chipinge South.

People from all walks of life came to pay their last respect to the People’s organising Secretary. May His Departed Soul Rest in Power,” MDC Alliance said in a statement.

The MDC Alliance has also lost Rex Matova, a party elder in Mashonaland East Province.

“MDC A Chikomba West has been robbed by death of a dedicated elderly advisor Mr Rex Matova.

Mr Matova was a well known and respected member of MDC right from it’s formation.

He was once elected to be the chairman of the council of advisors in the province.

He is mostly likely to be laid to rest on Saturday at his homestead in Chambara,” the party said.
