By Kuwadzana MP, Hon Charlton Hwende | The latest illegal recalls of MDC Alliance MPs by the regime are an assault on electoral democracy. The panicking ZANU PF regime is using its surrogates in the opposition to violate the will of the voters who elected the MPs in order to entrench itself. PDP did not contest parliamentary elections in 2018 and it is both absurd and preposterous that the Speaker of Parliament can allow a political party to recall MPs that it did not field or sponsor.

This is both irrational and unconstitutional. Its the clearest sign that the Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda who is supposed to be fair and neutral is a kept man. A compromised speaker is a clear and present danger to the institution of parliament. Its time for all progressive citizens to converge and confront this military dictatorship.
