Zesa Applies For Another Tariff Hike To Cover Up Its Incompetencies
30 April 2021
By A Correspondent- Zesa said it wanted the government to allow the power utility to hike electricity tariffs so that it raises enough money to buy cars and pay workers
Zesa has applied for a new tariff hike in what it said was a bid to boost its operations.
This was said by Zera board chair Dr David Madzikanda in Harare today during a Zesa organised breakfast meeting with journalists.
Madzikanda said Zesa did not have vehicles and required personnel as it cannot afford to pay decent salaries to competent staff due to a low tariff.
