On Friday the regime arrested young activists Nancy Njenge and Paidamoyo Masaraure for allegedly inciting public violence.

According to MDC Alliance Youth Assembly deputy organising secretary, Netsai Marova, the two are still in police custody.

Below is Netsai Marova’s Marova’s statement:

Nancy Njenge and Paidamoyo O Masaraure are female student leaders currently behind bars at Harare Central Police.

They were arrested yesterday for wearing Zinasu t-shirts and are now being alleged to have incited public violence.

They haven’t been taken to court which clearly shows the regime’s intention to further detain them at Chikurubi Female Prison.

It’s such a pathetic move by this shameless and evil regime of ED.

No respect for human rights freedom of persons.

To the young fighters, stay strong. This too shall come to pass.
