By A Correspondent-Former Zimbabwe Electoral Commission chairperson, Justice Rita Makarau, has joined the Constitutional Court Bench.

Makarau was today sworn in by the Acting Chief Justice Elizabeth Gwaunza together with Justices Paddington Garwe, Anne-Mary Goora, Ben Hlatshwayo and Bharat Patel.

Before their appointment, the five were all acting judges of the Constitutional Court and they were among the 12 candidates that participated in the public interviews conducted in September last year.
